Documents to Keep Ready Before Applying
Please review the following indicative list of documents before starting your New Service Connection application. Keeping the applicable documents ready will help you complete the application smoothly.
Important
This list is provided for your information before applying. Documents marked "Any One" require any one applicable proof, while documents marked "As Applicable" are required only where relevant to your connection/application.
Licensed Electrical Contractor details are optional during the New Service Connection application and may be provided later if available.
Ownership / Premises Occupation Proof
Any one of the applicable documents
- Aadhaar Card (for Changeover / Switchover residential consumers only)
- Society Share Certificate / Maintenance Bill or Receipt / Society Letter (applicable for Changeover applicants)
- Society Registration Certificate for common services such as Lift, Staircase, Water Pump, etc.
- Owner's NOC with Leave & License / Lease Agreement, if the applicant is not the premises owner
- MCGM / MEMC Property Tax Bill / Receipt
- MITL Order / Letter of Allotment / Approval / Lease Agreement
- Government-issued Property Card / 7/12 Extract / IOD
- Purchase / Sale Agreement with Builder / Previous Owner
- Passport (for residential consumers only)
Identity Proof
Any one of the following
- Voter's Identification Card
- Aadhaar Card
- Passport
- Photo Pass / Recognized Organization Photo Identity Card
- Collector / Government Authorized Photo ID
- Driving License
- PAN Card
Documents Related to Power
As applicable
- Location Map & Plot Plan of the site (for new projects)
- Approved Plan by the relevant authority (for new projects)
- Power Supply Agreement for every meter where sanctioned load is 50 KW / 63 KVA or above
- Sub-station Space Agreement from Property Developer, where a sub-station is created within the premises
- Work Completion & Test Report for each meter, to be submitted when requested at a later stage
- Electricity Duty Exemption Eligibility Certificate, if applicable
- Photocopy of latest energy bill, front and back, for Changeover applications
- Written application on Society Letter Head with signature and stamp for common services such as Lift, Staircase, Water Pump, etc.
